WHA Clinical Forum ProgramThe clinical forum is a one day workshop to examine best practise and innovation on a particular clinical issue. Results of benchmarking activates between member hospitals are presented and discuss. Each forum provides an outcome for members. RationaleProvides an important opportunity for multidisciplinary health professionals to discuss and identify best practise, benchmarking, sharing knowledge and networking on particular concern to member hospitals. Process· Identify a clinical issue of common concern to members · Engage a multidisciplinary expert team of clinicians to overview the process and forum program · Literature review of best practice and evidence is carried out · Undertake a benchmarking survey of member hospitals on the clinical issue Outcomes could include· Report bringing together the main consensus agreement on practice · Recommendations to be actioned by member hospitals · Recommendation to be actioned by WHA · Incorporate findings in WHA advocacy · Identification of clinical indicators TopicsClinical Forum 2010– First Time Labour and Birth for Women and Ambulatory Gynaecology Services, July 2010, Auckland, NZ.
