Clinical Practice Guidelines

WHA continues to pursue interjurisdictional support for the development of National Evidence Based Clinical Practice Guidelines (EBCPG) for women's health. Some countries have taken this approach and key Guideline websites for women's health can be found at the end of this page.

In the meantime, in recognition of the need to support standard approaches to clinical care, we have developed, within existing resources, a suite of clinical practice guidelines. These, whilst evidence informed and based on current best practice, have not undergone the rigorous developmental processes required in the production of EBCPG's. These guidelines would be more accurately described as "evidence informed" guidelines and draw from the evidence base and existing guidelines.
