WHA Annual General MeetingsEach year WHA holds an Annual General Meeting alongisde the Annual Conference in November to elect Office Bearers and to consider the Annual Report and Financial Statements. This meeting also provides an opportunity for member hospitals to provide ideas about the organisation's future strategic direction. WHA Medal of Distinction
For those directly affiliated with WHA, the criteria for awarding the Medal of Distinction include a significant period of service to WHA and sustained leadership and advocacy for women’s health. It is not awarded for long service but, rather, for exceptional and meritorious service. For members of the broader community, the criterion is recognition at a national level for leadership and advocacy for women’s health. Each year, the President consults with the Executive of WHA to seek nominations for the Award. Ordinarily one Medal will be awarded each year. However, on occasion, the association may decide to award more than one Medal in a given year or alternatively to award none.
