Mission

To support women’s hospitals and health services to achieve excellence in clinical care through advocacy, networking and the sharing of knowledge & evidence underpinning best practice.

Objectives

The key objectives of Women's Hospitals Australasia are to:

• provide a forum for the exchange of information among women's hospitals and women's health units;
• improve communications among those professionally engaged in women's health care;
• collect and distribute information about the work of women's hospitals;
• liaise and work with other bodies and individuals interested in women's health care;
• stimulate appropriate scientific research in women's health and neonatal care;
• recognise the importance of the family in the maintenance of women's health;
• promote legislative, social and administrative reforms that might be relevant and necessary;
• organise workshops, seminars and conferences;
• advocate and support improvements in the health care of women.
