AdvocacyWHA seeks to promote and represent the interests of women’s hospitals and health services providing health care to women and babies. It does so in liaison with other bodies or persons interested in women’s health care. WHA also hopes to promote better community understanding of women’s health issues and to support the uptake of knowledge about preventing illness and injury and maintaining good health. The objectives of WHA specifically encourage women’s hospitals and health services to involve consumers in the planning and delivery of health services for women and babies. WHA advocates for legislative, social and administrative reform which enhances the health and wellbeing of women and their babies.
